I am doing this right now with my old 30 , I am making a dwarf tank I have german blue rams , and am goint to get bolivian dwarfs a pair as well this weekend . I thought the dwarfs would make a good small tank community for me I can put more in this than i can the malawi tank I only have 2 pairs in that one and its a 50 and that sux cause its so much space wasted to me but they will kill anything else .
Where as the dwarfs can accept any other fish even guppys lol well as long as they arent spawnin that is .

I had Rams breed in a community tank years ago. Nothing I did, just luckily had the right conditions.

Either of you guys have any tipps for sexing them ? the dwarfs I mean .
I cant tell if I have a male an female pair or not really I think i do but you never know , one is diffrent from the other but that could just be genetics froma diffrent strain i know .
Also any advice on choice froozen foods ? I currently keep the following
daphnia
bloodworms - i give every tank these twice a week
glass worms
baby brine
I got them all cause i know they eat them all but i dont know wich is best , my cherry barbs go nuts when i put in the brine lol almost like sharks they started chasing fry when the brine was gone they never do that

Well, for Rams, the males are more colorful in general and have longer, more pointed fins. The females are more rounded and also have a pinkish belly. I think that the longer, pointier fins on males is a pretty good rule of thumb for most cichlids. I always liked Kribensis. Hardier than Rams and their faces always reminded me of dolphins. A fish I was always interested in but never had was the Egyptian Mouth Breeder. You don't even hear about them anymore.

I like the mother of pearl also its a cool fishy very diffrent , not really pretty lol but diffrent .
I havent heard of the egyiptian before whats it look like ? got a pic or link on them ?
