I want to get more tanks, but APPARANTLY THAT IS VOLATION IN THIS ESTIBLISHMENT. Lol. She said there is no room. I said the kitchen table we could buy a huge tank with removible tops and the light would be hidden under something.

It will probably cause a short cycle but, you have so many plants that I'd bet you wouldn't skip a beat. Your plants and rocks and decor will provide BB also. With plenty of plants, I don't give the cycle thing too much thought.

You either have to wear them down with whining or do some extra little pain in the butt things around the house. The latter usually works well. Good luck !

Good idea... I don't have enough tanks to hide it unless I put it under my stand

Y'all know I build custom tanks right lol I took up the hobby / art of tank buiildin when my female owner took over my bank account said same thing pretty much , theirs no more room then i woud find a spot or a new table appeard and I was like hey honey we could put it here lol then it got to the point of we cant afford another one soooo I googled it and sure enough i got a basic how to on it lol . I've been in construction my entire life and finishe work so Im pretty good with my hands and tools it was easy for me but truely its easy littl project if y'all are interested . You can build bigger tanks to replace the older ones you have already Just remember when you do the remodel that the length and width have to stay the same all you change is the height . Do it that way so you can keep your hood . If you do change the wid or len then you need to get the measurements from a bigger hood before you build the tank . A custom made hood could get pricey but thinking about it I bet you could or I could rig up a pretty cool hood hmmmm thinking as we speak lol

Cool !! I wish I could get the equipment to build acrylic molds , that would be awsome . Im still a novice / begineer and anything I make has to be out of glass I order cut a certain size . I cant go very big either as the only hardware around that has and cuts custom glass doesnt carry anything thincker than a quarter inch . Sux . But its cool to play with anyway , when I get the chance I will be making a few to list ( with pics ) just dont have the resources as of yet .

Do you guys really think this is the cheaper way to go ? Where do you get your glass ? I look at the prices of plexiglass and think I might as well buy a pre-made tank at Petsmart.

Dans right , this is a part of the hobby that isnt really cost saving its just another step in the hobby . Its more for personal achievement than anything else a sence of I did it lol . If you do build one though let me know I'll send you an address for a site that does the math for you to know what thickness glass you need for the size tank you wanta build . so it dont explode whn you fill it with water .
