Today and Friday are my days off. I work at The Home Depot and have two different jobs and varied shifts. Gotta love retail ! I'm the weekend bookkeeper and answer phone inquiries, call customers to tell them their orders are in , and work reports Monday - Wednesday. I had to get off the floor due to back problems / surgery and they've been great about working with me on that. So if it seems like I mention THD a lot, there's a reason. They're really good people who care about the customer and their employees.

Nice commercial  just kidding my dad works for them to . He was laid off when US Motors moved the factory to Mexico and laid off all the employies ...He had been their since high school only had a handfull of yrs left b4 retierment ..now hes loading lunber and pushing buggies pisses me off so bad to think about it . But your right the store's managment is great with their employess they never say anything when I go see him , well its only about 5 times max a year i can we live far away but whenever we go home i go straight to the store and walk in to see him ..hes all i have left , all i ever really did have to be honest . What were we talking about agin....oh yeah HOME DEPOT ROCKS !!!!! ;D i bought my sand at LOWES it was closer and their for cheaper since gas is a thousand dollars a gallon now thank u mr. obama ..god that guys a fU@$ tard .. see im getting sleepy and bouncing from this to that sory im goin to sleep later |

Your dad's situation is very common for THD employees. People who had made a nice life for themselves and their families, only to be cut off at the knees by greed. I totally understand how you feel. Maybe that is all the more reason you need to pursue your family's dream. This is much easier said than done; however, try to make it a choice rather than the less of two evils. I made that mistake twice.
