My son brought home a beautiful male Red Dwarf Gourami several weeks ago. I put him the 20 gallon with some platies (of course), the frog, and a few Otos. He was laid back and curious at first, then he started racing back and forth across the front of the tank all day. My wife insisted he needed a friend. I stupidly got a male Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami, they had no females...didn't even carry them. Well, they got along OK for 2 days, then started sizing each other up for a couple days, and now the red chases the blue. So last night I said I was going to move the red to one of the BA tanks in the basement. You could see my son's shoulders slump. So the blue (my favorite) is going downstairs I guess.
