This is my favorite catfish , it is very active and doesnt grow to monster size . They are striped like a tiger with grey and white or orange and grey/black , very cool very active fishes . They are shy though dureing daytime hours you will not see them when the suns out unless its by chance , but at night they play all over the place lol they do good in a pair or numbers I dont know about alone as I dont keep any type of fish alone . As for eating they love bloodworms ( what dont ) and feeding needs to be done after lights out a few minutes . I have witnessed the pair I have witnessed my pair shareing a pile of bloodworms with my pair of ADF's , wich I though odd ..but they seemed to be great together at feeding neither tried to root out the other . I would suggest these for anyone that likes cats . They have never been breed in a aquarium at home by anyone thats documented so theirs another interesting challenge to consider . Personally I have had no luck getting mine to spawn either

I wonder if these are the same as a fish I had years ago. They were just called bumble bee catfish but, we looked them up and they were called Siamese Catfish in one book. They looked as you described and moved just like little sharks. I always thought they looked more like sharks than the red tailed and rainbows.

You need to be the first to breed them, Charlie. I know you got it in you.

You know people say that cats are very sensative to sickness especially " columnaris " but in the end they were the ones that held on the longest in my tank . I had 3 bumble bee's and a bristlenose 2 bumble bee's passed on but the smallest one lived and the BN placo lived . On the same note I had a couple pairs of Ram cichlids " Boliviann " & " Blue" or Butterfly wich ever you preffer well I have always heard they were very sensative and ppl had trouble getting them to live , mine out lived numerous other species dureing the illness . It was heart breaking to watch them when one passed the mate would stay by the body of the other untill it passed also . I found both bolivian and the blues right by each other when they passed .
