I thought this would be a good topic for us seeing as how we may use the same retailer onlnie and probably never will off line . I got to thinking about it after Frank mentioned / refered me to aquarium plants . com it was a good site and I really liked it aside from the merchandise they have very good posts about planting tips and trouble and how to deal with it in a planted tank very good site very good info thanks agin Frank . I would like for us all to list our favorite sites we buy from and tell each other why we like them . I just recently started useing online stores because I was scared of it , not knowing what to expect and wich to trust . Liveaquaria.com is one of my favorite sites to go to for stuff i need .It has a great selection at wonderfull prices and weekly specials to ! woohoo love those specials lol . It also has options on how to buy you can call or fax or mail in a order you dont have to use your computer for it all and they have a 24 hr operator to assist in orders and customer service

Well, naturally I use Aquariumplants.com. That's the only place for plants for me. I haven't tried others but, why mess with a good thing ? I have purchased food and supplies from Petco and Petsmart online. The prices seem better than in the store and, especially with Petco, the selection is way better than in the store. My local Petco has turned into a cat, dog, and wild bird food store. It's a shame because they're 5 minutes away from me. There was a lot of talk about the New Life products on another site and Petco offered them online so I ordered a couple formulas. I have ordered decorations and equipment from Petsmart. With both companies, I received what I expected in good condition and fairly quickly. Online purchasing of live animals kind of scares me and I've never done it.

I know what you mean Frank , A good site wont send you live anything unless its over night air mail . Atleast thats what I have came into with my experiances so far . The ones that will ground mail you fish usualy dont guarante their arrival and thus dont cair about thier fishes so I dont use them . Thats why me an Dan have held off sending each other fish an shrimp till the weather breaks and warms up . I am assuming Dan will send ground mail as I am an I know we both cair about our critters health an safty. Live aquaria . com is a good site I would really like y'all to check out . Frank ,- they have plant package deals some really cool ones alot of plants for like 35 $$ or if you want a God awfull amount of plants they have 45 $ packages an bigger ones but the 35 is big enough an they come with a huge selection of plants in them . Itrs kinda like a plant x-mas present you know their plants but you dont know exactly what all is in it . Its put together by the yokimata or something chiness sounding aquascapein designers and they give some good plant choices . And Dan they have a fair selection of saltwater plants to an brackish . As well as a great selection of wonderfull quality fish and invertabrates. But like I said b4 y'all can go ahead and plan on it being 30 something dollars extra for shipping cause they only ship live stuff over night .

I'll definitely give Live Aquaria.com a try in the future. My tanks are still under construction in a way. Once I have them where I want them, I'll be looking for more rare species and try the online livestock route.
