I dont I have seen it though in the stores and other kinds of that "gel" food , I never really looked at it to much its right by those weekend food tablet things and I thought it was a gimick but now that I know someone thats got it I will pick up a pack and check it out . I feed mainly froozen foods such as bloodworms baby brine shrimp glass worms daphnia along with pellets and flakes tetra of course . I tried Omega One because everyone on the TFK site said it was great ( moderators ) and from the ingrediants it is but it made my water sooo cloudy it just wasnt worth it to me . It even said on the bottle that it wouldnt cloud your water lol ,and the price is a little bit higher than good ole tetra too I might add . Tetra color enhanceing flakes are the best all around flake food . " In my opinion" along with the froozen foods 5-7 times a week for the fish that are omnivores . As far as strange food stuffs go I have got a new something though I got those tetra nibblers things you stick to your tank wall it looks like a pill or something they have tuna and alge flavors I got the tuna they are usewd as treats . They work great all my fish absolutly love them and its awsome to see them all crowdin around the little thing to get a bite lol it gives you a chance to see every fish you have .

Yep , I like the crisps actually . You mau need to break them up a little for smaller species but they seem to be better less messy and more of it gets eatin where flakes alot goes to the bottom to decompse or break down

I like them for the same reason. Another thing I like about the product is that they actually suggest the number of crisps to feed based on inch of fish. This seems like it would be very helpful for beginners and for first time users. I never felt comfortable with the old as much as they eat in a few minutes rule. Some fish would starve.

I know what you mean feeding time at our house is a full scale project , consisting of atleast one pellet and flake food per tank along with one to two froozen cubes ( thawed and rinsed ) . Feeding time was so much simpler when I was a beginner . You really do need all the diffrent types though to ensure that fish on each level of the tank get their share and not just food matter but nutritian wise also the proper vitamins they each need . (along with the ammount ) . I use pellets in the morning feeding with the flakes so they have something to nibble on through out te day untill night feeding . How many times a day do you feed ?

I feed once a day when I get home from work. It's hard for me not to over feed so this works for me and the fish are doing well with that routine. I only rarely give them anything but staple food. I've had the same packages of frozen food for almost a year. It just seems to me that the new staple foods are so balanced and well made that they're hard to beat for nutrition. Of course, if I have a fish with special needs, I'll make sure to provide what's necessary. I use pellets, flakes, and algae wafers to make sure everybody gets their fare share.

If you have omnivours meat an veggie eaters its good to add froozen foods or live to the menu atleast 4 to 5 times a week , you will really be surprised by the outcome I was . But the flakes an pellets are a crittical must have for nutritional value an health . I can go way deep into this if you want lol I got interested and researched it pretty heavy for a little while . Bloodworms are a safe bet for choice almost every fish loves them and they are easy to get an cheap in comparison to some types . I also like brine an daphnia but you get more (meat) from the bloodworms than those others . The froozen an live foods will also aid in throwing a fish into spawn if your ever having trouble getting one to . I use this Kick up the temp to about 80-82 and feed fresh live or froozen food only for about 2-3 days and by the 3rd day they are chaseing each other to the corners lol .

Lol , give it about a week and you'll see a diffrence . I almost forgot to tell you how to feed the bloodwormsyou said that you were thawing them so thats part one thank god lol alot of people dont know to do that believe it or not . But you need to rinse them off a couple times with aquarium water to , its just to clean them . I read it on one site said something about contamanents but its mainly cause its nasty and can cloud your water but that said I have feed them rinsed and not and cant tell a diffrence other than when you dont rinse them the bloody water gets the fishes attention lol. They will stick to your finger to you can hold your finger at the surface with a worm stuck to the end an your fish will eat out of your hand ...very cool .
